Samaritan Healthcare | The Samaritan | Fall 2018

4 THE SAMARITAN growing! Our team is O ur family medicine providers and staff at Samaritan Healthcare have a passion for primary care. They enjoy providing consistent care to the whole family—from infants to children, teens, adults, and elders. Whether patients are experiencing complex issues or need routine care, our family medicine providers get to know their individual healthcare needs. They also know the importance of explain- ing treatment options so patients understand why a treatment is being recommended. By establish- ing connections to patients, our providers provide ongoing guidance and help them to be more pre- ventive throughout their treatment plans. “Samaritan is fortunate to continue to be in the position of selecting the highest-quality providers,” says Kyle Kellum, Clinic Director at Samaritan Healthcare. “Bringing in the right providers means ensuring the fit for the existing medical staff, as well as the fit for our patients.” Five new family medicine providers—one phy- sician and four physician assistants—have joined the Samaritan team in the past year. Hollie Matthews, MD: Dr. Matthews is passionate about providing excellent care for patients of Grant County. During her residency, she realized her calling was family medicine, and that has been her focus ever since. Bob Ebel, PA-C: Moses Lake is Ebel’s hometown, and he has worked in healthcare here for many years. His experience spans family medicine, mental and behavioral health, nutrition, dietetics, and more. James Ewell, PA-C: Face-to-face patient care is a key component of Ewell’s family medicine practice— from explaining medications to discussing the progress patients are seeing in their healthcare. Cheyenne Faeh, PA-C: Building relationships with her patients is important to Faeh. Her experience ranges from patient care in rural community settings to the wards of a university medical center. Ethan Washburn, PA-C: He is experienced in asthma and allergy care, as well as having years of expe- rience in Family Medicine. He is also fluent in Spanish (both spoken and written), which allows him to connect and communicate more easily with a wide variety of patients. “Providing accessible, state-of-the-art healthcare to our growing communities is just one example of how we show our commitment to area residents.” —Kyle Kellum, Clinic Director at Samaritan Healthcare Need a family medicine provider?
