2 | THE SAMARITAN Jonathan Ingram joins our Behavioral Health team. Providers and staff offer a comprehensive approach to care. Jonathan Ingram has joined the provider care team at Samaritan’s Behavioral Health department. As an advanced registered nurse practitioner, he is board-certified as a specialist in psychiatry and mental health. Jonathan has years of experience providing care locally for patients with anxiety, depression, bipolar, and other mental health concerns. The providers on the Behavioral Health team work closely with the referring or family doctors to coordinate treatments and integrate care so they all stay up-to-date regarding each patient’s care plan. Jonathan Ingram, Teresa Hutsell, and Nicole Avila-Parker are all board-certified advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners and also advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNP, PMHNP-BC); Robert Muehlberger is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). Teresa, Nicole, and Jonathan diagnose mental/ behavioral conditions—such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, or other mental health concerns—and prescribe medications when needed as part of the treatment plans. Robert assists patients with therapy, understanding and connecting with the mental or behavioral health services available, as well as helping them to understand how following a treatment plan can benefit their symptoms. By coordinating Behavior Health with Family Medicine, patients receive comprehensive behavioral and mental healthcare for the whole person—close to home and close to healing. Samaritan’s Behavioral Health Services include: • Behavioral/mental health assessment • Prescribing medications when needed as part of the treatment plan • Mental health counseling • Explaining the process and the benefits of following treatment plans • Connecting patients with services available Behavioral Health News Behavioral Health is conveniently located in our Samaritan Family Medicine Clinic on Pioneer Way. With outpatient treatment, patients visit their behavioral and mental health providers during regular appointment hours.
